Event Details

The American Black Film Festival (ABFF),  will host its first annual ABFF Strikes, www.abffstrikes.com a celebrity bowling  tournament  and fundraiser. The  mission of the event is to  unite prominent members of the Hollywood community in an effort to raise awareness of and provide financial support  for organizations committed to educating  and empowering underprivileged youth.

The fun-filled evening will bring together  artists, athletes and industry influencers  to knock down pins for this worthy cause. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Film Life Foundation. A portion of funds raised  will  benefit the general scholarship fund at the John H. Johnson School of Communications at Howard University.

Twelve  corporate sponsored teams, headed by celebrity captains will  bowl two games each in a 5 on  5 format. The team with the highest cumulative score will be the winner. Invited guests will be encouraged to make pledges and matching gifts based on team scores. The games will be followed by a light-hearted awards ceremony where trophies will be presented in a variety of categories such as Best Team, Highest Game, and Best and Worst Form.
